Exciting week for Arizona/Mexico relations! We were honored to welcome Hermosillo’s new Mayor Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez to Phoenix and pave the way for a strong trade relationship with our neighbor to the south.
It was a pleasure to welcome Hermosillo, Mexico’s dynamic new Mayor, Antonio Astiazarán Gutiérrez, City Councilwoman Ana Maria Araque Castellanos, and the Hermosillo delegation to Phoenix for visits with top government officials and business leaders. Mayor Astiazaran has a strong vision for making Hermosillo a smarter, greener city with better public services for all citizens. We look forward to furthering this agenda and strengthening relations with Phoenix’s first sister city to build a more competitive region.
